Our short movie ‘La prova’ is launched in the Teatre Ideal

Our students’ first short movie, ‘La prova’, was presented on 25th April in the Teatre Ideal.
Manolo Moreno, a teacher of the IES Vicent Gandia, introduced the film with a great explanation of the creative process, as well as, the planning, the editing work and the multidisciplinary job done in the school centre before, during and after the shooting.
Besides, the film directors (Miriam Sebastián and Rafa Solves), the producer (Rubén Estrada) and two of the main characters (Sarai Belda and Salva Gomar) explained some anecdotes.
On the other hand, Alfred Gregori (mayor of the town), Juan Ramon Murillo (town councillor of Education), and other members of the education community assisted to this event in the Teatre Ideal that registered a great assistance of public.
Students of 2nd ESO shot a film with subtitles in Valencian, Spanish and English

‘La prova’ is the first short movie done by the students of 2nd ESO and directed by Miriam Sebastián and Rafa Solves, teachers of the Col·legi Hernández.
This project is part of the experimental programme about the application of the European Language Portfolio (included in the European Common Framework of Reference) in educational centres. In this sense, the short movie includes key aspects of the language learning process, such as the fact that subtitles appear in Valencian, Spanish and English.
Both the direction and the teaching staff of the Col·legi Hernández have participate in the elaboration of this work.
Besides, ‘La prova’ will be presented in October in Madrid as part of an investigation research in a symposium about Portfolio.
Our students dress up for carnival

Every year our centre celebrates a carnival festival. This time, the main characters of traditional tales inspired our students’ fancy dresses. Each class chose a story as a main theme. Here you have a small sample.
