THIRD IN "PILOTA"
OUR STUDENTS GET THE THIRD PLACE IN FEMALE CATEGORY.
On June 3 in the town of Massalfassar we played the finals of the championship goes to school. In this edition, our women's team composed Aroa, Selma, Nayara, and Daniela Lia remained in 3rd place after a qualifying very competitive and a high level of play. PILOTA AT SCHOOL 2015
Students in grade 4, for the fifth consecutive time, have qualified for the final phase of the Educational Innovation "Pilota a l’Escola". CLOSING COMENIUS PROJECT "Knowing ME Knowing EU" AT HERNANDEZ SCHOOL

The week has been full of activities acrosport Festival, classes of culture and language of visiting countries, visiting UN workshop socarrats in Manises, adventure activities and a moixent Xativa, plants and burning of the Falla College Hernández-Comenius.
On Tuesday 5 was held a welcome ceremony at the Great Theatre in which European partners met a theater packed teachers, students and families. The celebration also attended by the local mayor, Salvador Alvarez, the Councillor for Education, and Regional Secretary Antonio Aviñó Manuel Tomás; authorities a few words to the audience, highlighting the importance of the great European project involvement and experience of our center in such partnerships.

From the beginning we wanted a project that would be for the whole community and therefore visit the Adult School Minguez Paz, City Hall, La Cooperativa del Campo de Vila Nova de Castelló and Videc. We were able to observe what happens to the oranges from the field to trucks that move to their countries. He impressed the modernization of the warehouse and throughout the care process.
Afternoon, the school held a burning Falla, after a parade through the streets of the town and the traditional "globotà." SAMBORI 2015

Carlos, Sarai and Mariola attended from 1 to 5 December the 5th International Meeting of the Association Multilateral Comenius "Knowing me, Knowing EU: learning skills, old and new," of which we are coordinators. This new meeting was held in Zespol Szkol MIEJSKICH NR 1 w JAŚLE (Poland), which also participated teachers from partner schools in Cyprus, Romania, Scotland, England and Ireland.
The program prepared for the visit include the International Festival of Carols European teachers where they had the opportunity to be part of the jury who assess and reward the best singers of this school at a gala full of art and emotion .
Another activity was the visit all the classrooms in the center. Specifically classroom 5th Primary had a wonderful atmosphere dedicated to our country and a great welcome "'Good morning !!!" Teachers received at Valencia. The students practice greetings, numbers and colors in Spanish to learn through failure "Knowing me, Knowing EU: do it, share it video: How to make a monument to failure" recorded by the teachers of our technology center . OPEN DAY. UNITED NATIONS SUPPORT BASE
On October 24 our Secondary students together with their teachers were invited to attend the Open Day organized by the United Nations Support Base (UNSB-V) in Quart de Poblet (Valencia) to commemorate the signing of the United Nations Charter.
During our visit we were accompanied superbly by the staff of the Base and we were able to see the great work being carried out by all the staff and we also visited the most emblematic parts of the base. We would like to thank the team led by Mr. Lino Puertas this opportunity and encourage them to continue to work with schools.
Release of the film "Rosa Obscur"
On Friday 26th September was released the short film “Rosa Obscur” at teatre Ideal, Villanueva de Castellón. This is already the third cinematographic project produced by Colegio Hernandez.
We would like to highlight the co-operation of our special town actress Elena Climent and also of the local writer Eli Llorens, as wellas, former pupils.
To complete this learning experience, Fortunato Tapias Cascales, a well knownpsychologist, is working on a Teaching Guide for Rosa Obscur, which will be available for the whole educational community shortly on our school website to be used for Secondary School activities.
Synopsis: Rose enjoys a full life, despite his 17 years, she’s a really sensible and committed teenager. She has a family that loves her, really good friends, she is brilliant in her studies and she’s keen on skating. And another thing that makes her life even fuller is the fact that Christian, the boy of her dreams, has set his eyes on her. Life is definitely pink for her eyes. Comenius mobility to Pollokshields Primary School in Glasgow (Scotland)
From 21st to 26th September 6th Year Primary school students from Col • legi Hernandez (Villanueva de Castellón together with their teachers have enjoyed the visit to their partner school in Glasgow, Pollokshields Primary School ,along with other students from Romania and Poland, in the framework of a mobility of The Multilateral Partnership “Knowing me, knowing EU: learning skills ,old and new”
Glasgow is the largest and most multicultural city in Scotland. The city has recently hosted the 2014 Commonwealth Games and the 2014 Ryder Cup. The Education Community of Pollokshields Primary School surprised our students with the organization of the Commonwealth Day Family Sports at Pollok Park. We could all enjoy with the planned activities which really helped all our students to establish the first bonds of friendship. From the very first minute everything was perfectly organized in order to make us feel at home.
On Monday 22nd we moved to Auchengillan, an adventure center near the Highlands. Our students had the opportunity to live and share exciting experiences such as climbing, paradrop, survival activities, Abseiling and guidance. The multicultural group of students were able to learn new things every day and at the same time teach them to their peers. All this has helped all of us to grow in every aspect, in autonomy, in intercultural relations, in learning other languages, and of course, in the respect for other cultures and languages.
This vital experience has been in the words of our students, "an unforgettable adventure." With special moments, enjoying new activities in an amazing environment surrounded by people from different countries and cultures. And this is exactly what Comenius Partnerships are about, opportunities for personal enrichment, both individually and as part of a heterogeneous group; a group that makes you discover both the similarities and differences that unite us and make us better European citizens. We can say that our students have opened their eyes to another dimension, to the European dimension.
In the project meeting in Glasgow we have created the Future enterprise (acronym: From Us To yoU Reinventing Europe) and we have defined the strategic lines of the second year of our partnership . We have also planned the next mobilities to Poland in December ,Ireland in March and Spain in May 2015 . In our last project meeting we will present the board game "Knowing me, Knowing EU" and we will be able to assess the impact of our partnership in the 1748 students and 120 teachers participating.
The project meetings or Comenius mobilities to partner schools are an added value to learn about the diversity of European realities, a dimension that we wouldn’t be able to live outside this partnership.

Mariola gave a presentationarked debate among participants, points of contact and exchange of experiences.
Mariola Hernández Ubert made a presentation about the participation of Colegio Hernández in Comenius Multilateral Partnerships and the organisation of multilingual activities in the framework of the European Languages Portfolio carried out in her school in the recent years; such us theater workshops taught by specialists from the Royal Shakespeare Company, the celebration of the European Day of Languages.
She also emphasized the consequences and impact achieved with such experiences in her school and in the wide community around it.
