WELCOME TO THE COURSE 2012 - 2013
26 SEPTEMBER EUROPEAN DAY OF LANGUAGES
Under the slogan "A language, a chance ', the students of the Colegio Hernandez celebrated the European Day of Languages. on 26th September.
SPEAKER’S CORNER
3rd Year ESO students welcomed everyone in the morning from our special Speakers' Corner (in reference to the legendary speaker's corner in Hyde Park in London) they read poems and songs in Spanish, Valencian and English. All this accompanied by the figure of the “pregoner”, trying to unify British and Valencian traditions.

The events continued with a puppet show called "El Gat Menjalletres" part of our multilingual project "Shakesperience" where Don Quixote, Romeo and Tirant together achieved to get all the letters back from the cave of silence where the wicked cat lives. After all this adventure they are able to write love poems to their beloved Dulcinea, Juliet and Carmesina. The puppets require the collaboration of the audience in Valencian, Spanish and English to solve the problem.
Moreover, to ensure that all the languages spoken at our center were represented that day, some of the students welcomed everyone coming into the puppet show in Romanian, Russian, French, Georgian, English, Spanish and Valencian. We have also designed a poster with the words and phrases in all the languages in the European Union and each student wore a pin with the message 'Use your tongue " that they had previously decorated at arts and crafts class. All parents the parents were invited to take part in these activities.

It was a day of celebration and awareness that every language means an opportunity and that linguistic diversity is a source of cultural enrichment for any society.
L’OAPEE-MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE CENTER VISIT OUR SCHOOL
On 3rd October 2012 we welcomed the Comenius and Grundtvig team in Spain (Mrs Ana Carmen del Canto, Mrs Julia Lopez and D. Andrés Ajo) from OAPEE.

NI HAO – CHINA

A group of teachers and 4th Year ESO students of Colegio Hernandez travelled to Beijing and visited the, Beijing No. 39 Middle School from 15th to 25th July. In the cultural program we had the opportunity to visit the most representative sites of the city, and learn about the traditions and improve our Chinese. The visitin Chinese teacher at our school during 2010-2011, Ms. Li Ju Yang, accompanied us on our visit to Hanban- Confucius Institute Headquarters, where we were received by Mr.. HuiChang Wang, the coordinator of all the volunteer t Chinese teachers in Europe.
