The European Commission, through the eLearning Learning Programs, has granted a new eTwinning recognition to 94 centers throughout Spain, 13 of which in the Valencian Community, one of them is the Col·legi Hernández. This stamp recognizes the involvement in the eTwinning platform throughout the center. This statement is obtained after demonstrating with evidence that the centers have actively participated in eTwinning for a minimum of two years, having at least two active teachers and having previously received the National Quality Label. In addition, the award-winning centers have demonstrated that they meet the requirements regarding network security, active collaboration, involvement of students in the activities developed around eTwinning and the promotion and dissemination of these . In the current academic year, Colegio Hernández is immersed in 5 eTwinning projects, two of which have been awarded with National and European Quality Stamps.
The eTwinning platform is offered to educational teams to promote school collaboration in Europe, using information and communication technologies (ICT) and supporting the centers with the necessary tools that facilitate the association to develop projects in common, internationally. On the other hand, eTwinning also offers numerous opportunities for continuous and free online professional development for teachers within the framework of the European Community.
