Over the last few days, our school has had the opportunity to host an Erasmus+ exchange with pupils and teachers from Catania, Sicily (Italy). Throughout the event, the pupils took part in various activities relating to sustainability at school and the importance of sustainable buildings within our community.
The students shared ideas and experiences on how to reduce the environmental impact of schools, promoting responsible habits such as saving energy, reducing waste and using resources efficiently. We also visited various sustainable buildings in the municipality, analysing their features and the benefits they bring to the environment and the community.
In addition, we visited the Guadasuar Complex for the Treatment and Recovery of Household Solid Waste, where we were given an explanation of how the technology used for recycling works.
