Several concurrent activities took place on May 9 at Col·legi Hernández to celebrate Europe Day 2019. This date commemorates the anniversary of the Schuman declaration that, in his speech delivered in Paris in 1950, goes To expose the idea of a new form of political cooperation that made warlike conflicts unthinkable between the European nations. This proposal was considered the beginning of what we currently know as a European Union.
On Friday, Televisión Española (TVE) fired the 2019 Europe program with the RAP “Esta vez” of the students of the Hernández School. This theme, which won the first prize in the video contest for Ambassador Schools, has become the hymn of the campaign #EstaVezVoto of the European Union, which adds more than 250 thousand participants from all over Europe.
The Hernández School and Pollokshields Primary School in Glasgow live a day of legend at the Teatre Ideal.
The Hernández School participates in the John Paul II Primary School in Glasgow in the Erasmus + KA229 project “OPEN TO ALL: European Social Inclusion and Integration Partnership” (2018-2020). It is a bilateral project where students of 6th of primary and P7 have enjoyed the opportunity to visit both schools. Mobility has allowed us to discover part of a very diverse European cultural heritage, such as a rural rural town of La Ribera Alta and a cosmopolitan industrial city like Glasgow.
