The Infopoint of the European Parliament

Last Friday, November 9th, the Infopoint of the European Parliament was inaugurated in our center. As an Ambassador School we have created a space dedicated to informing all citizens about the news regarding the European Parliament, the upcoming elections and the opportunities that the European Union gives us.
This is the reason why we have the presence of Maureen McKenna, (Executive Director of Education of the Glasgow City Council), and Lesley Atkins, (International Education Officer of Glasgow City Council), our Mayor Òscar Noguera and Mr. Antonio Aviñó, member of the Municipal Goverment.

The Junior Ambassadors of 4th of Secondary School will visit the headquarters of the European Parliament in Strasbourg next December 14th. During this visit to the Lousie Weiss building, the students will have working meetings in multilingual groups to prepare the presentation of reports related to some topics: environment and renewable energies, human rights, cultural heritage, the future of Europe, migration and integration and job opportunities for young people. Finally, they must defend these reports in the plenary session to be held in the Hemicycle of the European Parliament.
